Vodpod videos no longer available.There needs to be a new, better word to articulate just how incredible this is. Hyper-brilliant? Super-genius? Indescribable supernova of awesome? But none of these do this, and the superb work that Late Night has been doing, justice.
Doesn’t it speak volumes, though, that Stephen Colbert chose to do this performance not on his show, but on Jimmy Fallon’s? Even Colbert knows that Late Night is the most fun, inventive, irreverent game in town these days. So, supreme kudos all around.

Been watching it since last week and it still puts a smile on my face. Best part is Taylor Hicks busting through the sign, slide and singing in tune, and on cue. Love his voice!
Yeah, all of the above – “hyper-brilliant, super-genius, indescribable Supernova, etc.” The best any of them have done in years. Taylor was like a comet shooting through Earth’s atmosphere. Congrats to all!
The whole thing is just genius. I believe the Roots band could play the phone book and make it good.
And yes, Taylors slide in was epic, in great voice, high energy and the harmonica was a great addition . Loved it. Still laughing.
