For the better part of the last year we’ve had the privilege of producing the wonderful little web series It Gets Betterish, created by and starring our dear friends Eliot Glazer and Brent Sullivan. And this week we premiered our most bonkers video to date, they were generous enough to let us direct. It’s our tribute to one of the great sitcom tropes of the late 80s/early 90s, equal parts Golden Girls, The Cosby Show and Growing Pains. Except our take involves trannies, home birth and Tilda Swinton.

Another ‘SNL’ Reminder: Ladies Night
As we wind down before the Halloween weekend, we would be remiss if we didn’t remind you that, two nights after Jon Hamm graces the Studio 8H, SNL will return with returning female alumni for the Women of SNL. The primetime special will include old sketches as well as new material with former cast members like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Molly Shannon, Nora Dunn and Cheri Oteri (while it’s clear there’s going to be retrospective interviews, we’re not sure if they will offer any original sketches). As we mentioned when this was announced a few weeks back, Fey, Poehler, Shannon, Maya Rudolph, Rachel Dratch have appeared on the show frequently over the last couple seasons, so the special feels a little redundant, but we guess they deserve some specific recognition.

But if you’re in NYC on Monday night you should go to this show, as it will feature Atticus, the cutest dog in the world. Ever. You won’t regret it.

Muppet Monday: Muppets on Your Body!
There may have been bigger Muppet news this past week (and, indeed, over the last few weeks), but outside the confirmation that Jason Segel will also star in the upcoming Muppet movie (as was assumed for some time) this is the coolest Muppet News Flash in recent memory. More Incontrovertible Proof That Jimmy Fallon Is on Fire
And that proof is that last Thursday he welcomed our good friend Eliot Glazer and, more importantly, Eliot’s dog Atticus (whom I like to consider as my dog nephew, or dog Godson).
Atticus first achieved fame by setting the blogosphere with his Bold appearance on Cute Overload.
After this pic hit the internetwaves I told Eliot that a star was born, that Atticus had reached the pinnacle in the sport of cute. However, I should have known that the mutt (allegedly a Shih Tzu-Schnauzer mix, but we think he might have some Havanese in him, or maybe a tiny bit of Terrier), was destined for even bigger things.
And his next step? Conquering late night television:
