Was Hoping This Would Also Be a ‘Wayne’s World’ Parody

But it’s still good.

Twitter is all abuzz with Retweets about a new Muppet video uploaded to YouTube today in which our favorites perform their very own version of Queen’s classic “Bohemian Rhapsody” music video!

Pretty amusing, but how cool would it have been if it featured Kermit and Fozzie in the Mirth Mobile, head banging and lip syncing along, Fozzie in the Dana Carvey/Garth role behind the wheel and not knowing the words.  Oh, well, I guess it would have looked like this, but with “Bohemian Rhapsody.”  And maybe Animal going crazy in the backseat.

Got to admit it though, the Muppets sure look good in 1080p.

You’re Not There to Make Friends. But Are You There to Cook Good Food? Questionable.

On this week’s Top Chef chefstant and house mother/pariah Robin joined the hallowed ranks of reality TV competitors like Omarosa and Kelly Wiglesworth who have uttered the now legendary phrase “I’m not here to make friends.”  This reminded me of a segment from the recent This American Life episode, “Frenemies.” In this act, titled “I am here to make frenemies,” Rich Juzwiak of the blog foufour details the evolution and now ubiquity of this quote in reality TV shows.  He also put together a thorough “I’m not here to make friends” highlight reel.  Enjoy!

Totally could have been me…

…if YouTube existed in 1988.  And if people were interested in hearing the complete narration of 1986 Mets: A Year to Remember.

(Interestingly it seems that many  of the customers who purchased the Mets video also bought Will & Grace: Season 7.  I don’t get the correlation.  Or is it causation? Think about it.)
