Mupppet Monday: People Eyes, They’re Watching You

With the new Muppet movie just 11 months away, we already know that 2011 is going to be a HUGE year for the Muppets, perhaps their biggest in three decades.  But one intrepid tumblr-er is already getting the ball rolling with the creepy good Muppets with People Eyes:

That one actually kind of works.  Cookie Monster probably should have hazier eyes.

So how long until we see “People with Muppet Eyes?”  You can have that one if you want, provided we see 10% of any profits.

Or how about “Hall & Oates with Muppet Eyes?”

We think Sesame Street just found their new viral hit.

It’s All Downhill After Cookie Monster: The Rest of Jeff Bridges on ‘SNL’

Which isn’t to say that it was all bad.  It wasn’t.  It was a definite improvement over the previous three shows.

But that isn’t to say it was good either.  Very hit and miss, both between sketches and within sketches.  But for this show, at this point, average is above average, and we’ll take anything positive to close out SNL in 2010.

And what was positive, you ask?  Well you really can’t beat this, putting together our two probably favorite characters of the year, Gov. David Paterson and Stefon:

We Haven’t Watched the Rest of ‘SNL’, But this is Easily the Highlight of the Season

Amazing.

Just goes to show that grassroots efforts can be effective! (specifically grassroots efforts involving late night sketch comedy shows)

Although, we guess Cookie Monster’s apparent affection for the dude does lend credence to the theory that the blue guy perpetually has the munchies.
